Private Filmmaking School

Make Your Films is a small private school based in Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city. This logo contains a pictogram of an old-fashioned camera for stock film, and a partially visible question mark that represents teaching. The frame surrounding the pictogram represents the solid and comprehensive approach adopted in the filmmaking courses.

“In January 2015, Asylon Theatre-a company that I’m leading were developing a new dance theatre production for young audiences. As part of the development, we also ran a workshop with primary school pupils. I asked Krzysztof and Karolina to create a short film that would document the process as well as serve as a visual element for fundraising purposes. I was amazed how precisely the film achieved those goals. Both Karolina and Krzysztof are very insightful and meticulous filmmakers. I was very pleased with both the process of making the film and the final piece. I will certainly be coming back to them for my other projects.”

“Kris is a highly skilled technician, who has a clear understanding of what his client is trying to achieve, and a gift for finding the rightshot. Added to that he has a thoroughly professional approach. I would happily recommend his work to anyone looking for creative, precise and insightful input to their projects.”

“Karolina and Kris from Golden Oriole worked with us on a short trailer for a prospective European project on science and mathematics learning. The production involved working with children, and had a very tight budget and timeframe. Karolina and Kris overcame all the organisational and technical problems cheerfully and efficiently, coordinating young actors, production crew and music composition. They adhered to high ethical standards regarding the various licensing and permissions issues involved. And it looked great! The finished trailer was excellent and is currently helping us in obtaining EU funding for the project. I am looking forward to working with them again on this, and other projects in European education.”

“Kris’s contribution to our video about Our Power really lifted the quality of the images and got our message across clearly and imaginatively.”

“Karolina Mazur and Kris Kubik made a video trailer for my debut novel, Water’s Edge. They were delightful to work with: professional, enthusiastic and committed to everything they did. It was easy discussing the project with them – they listened to my ideas, but when they thought that something else might work better, were able to explain why. I was delighted with the trailer they produced and would have no hesitation in recommending them.”
